Our art/pre-press
department works under the supervision of an award-winning
art director with over thirty years’ experience in print
production. Full-time staffing
includes artist/designers, film strippers, cameramen, and
plating/proofing specialists.
Art and
graphic designs are prepared using the latest desktop publishing
equipment and design software – augmented by an extensive
library of type fonts. A Fuji C-550 Sprint Color Scanner is
used to input digital color separations. High-resolution film
output to 21.6" image width through a Fuji 5055 provides
screen rulings of 200 lines per inch.
We can also work with conventional layouts and provide complete film, camera, and darkroom services. Our darkroom houses a 20" x 24" format horizontal camera with a 30" x 40" copyboard. Halftone screens from 85 lpi to 300 lpi offer flexibility for any printing medium – from newsprint advertising to printing on the finest coated stocks.
To ensure
quality results, proofing options range from the first photocopy
or low-resolution laser proof to print proofs, Fuji Copiart
bluelines, color overlay, and one-piece Fuji ColorArt proofs
laminated to the actual stock used in the press run. Digital
proofing with two Epson 10600 ink jet proofers and double-sided
digital Dylux proofs. Computer-to-Plate (CTP) using Fuji Thermal
Technology offers the highest quality available in any market
with incredibly fast throughput.
